Reception

Hello and welcome to Reception Class at All Saints. My name is Mrs Taylor and I’m the class Teacher and Mrs Allatt is our Teaching Assistant.

On our page, you will be able to find our latest newsletter and our topic plan which will detail activities and learning opportunities the children will have throughout the half term.

We set simple homework weekly, that encourages speaking and communication and can be as creative as you or your child likes! This will be sent out on a Friday and returned the following Wednesday. We will also send out additional phonics and math homework throughout the year, although this may not be every week.

New reading books are given every Monday and Thursday so we ask that your child’s book is brought in these days to be changed. Reading is an important skill for children to learn and we ask that they read their books every night for at least 5-10minutes.

Please check back for any updates.

World Book Day

The children had a wonderful day dressing up as characters from a Squash and a Squeeze by Julia Donaldson.  They enjoyed acting out the story and making different crafts.
