Remote Learning Year 1
Please find activities for Year 1 children to complete whilst school is closed. These will be updated regularly. If you would like any additional activities, please see the useful website link below. We would particularly like to draw your attention to Oxford Owl and Chatta Club.
Hello year 1! This is your final day of activities before the summer break. I will leave the phonics buttons so you can access these through the summer holidays.
You have also got all your usual reading, writing and maths activities to complete. Please remember to read the explanations first before you start your reading and writing activities.
There are now 3 new ‘Phonics’ buttons below. These buttons have lists of sounds and words that have those sounds, and also links to take you to some really important phonics lessons that Mrs Taylor and I would like you to start doing each day over the summer holidays. These will help you to continue with the fantastic reading you were doing when we were at school.
The ‘common exception words’ button below has a list of words that it would be really great if you could read, write and spell correctly when you go into year 2 in September. So it would be good for you to keep looking at these over the summer break.
Today, there is also a new button called science, which has an science activity for you to try.
Have a lovely summer break! It wont be long before we can all see each other again in September. Take care. Mrs Wheeldon
When your child has completed their remote learning each day, you can submit your child’s work via the class e-mail below if you would like feedback. Alternatively, if you are completing the work on paper, you can take a photograph to send to your teacher. If you are unable to complete this electronically, then please contact the school office for advice.
This email address will be checked regularly during the closure period. It is for children’s work only. We are not able to respond to general enquires or queries on this email. The office email is available for any other advice that you require: firstname.lastname@example.org
