Remote Learning Year 3

Please find activities below for Year 3 children to complete whilst school is closed. These will be updated regularly. If you would like any additional activities, please see the useful website link below. We would particularly like to draw your attention to Oxford Owl and Chatta Club.

Thursday 1st October

Good morning Year 3 🙂 Happy October!

Linked below you will find Maths, Literacy, Phonics, Grammar and Reading activities. There is also a Computing activity for the afternoon.

For your phonics lesson I would like you to first watch the video focusing on the ‘ear-hear with your ear’ sound. There is also a phonics worksheet for you to complete today! Then, play the phonics ‘Buried Treasure’ game. Make sure you choose the correct phase and sound when you play the game.

For reading, I would like you to read the poem ‘Please Mrs Butler’ and then answer the questions.

In Maths, we are learning about ordering numbers. There is a video for you to watch first, and then the normal worksheet to complete.

In Literacy, you are going to write a setting description of the beach.

For Computing, you are going to follow along with a tutorial on how to code your own animations and games on Scratch. Click the link below, then click one of the Year 3 activities and then follow the instructions on the screen.

I am so looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow 🙂

Miss Taylor.

Alternatively, if you are completing the work on paper, you can take a photograph to send to your teacher. If you are unable to complete this electronically, then please contact the school office for advice.

This email address will be checked regularly during the closure period. It is for children’s work only. We are not able to respond to general enquires or queries on this email. The office email is available for any other advice that you require:
